BMW E60 5 Series: Magnaflow Exhaust No Resonator - Inline 6 Cyl - M54 Engine Posted by: Classic0187
Video duration: 145 seconds Some fast passes after I removed the resonator in my 530i. The difference is a much more defined tone and its definitely louder but not by much. I like it quite a bit. Resonator removal shed about 30 lbs off the car also. Just FYI this doesn't mess with emissions at all. @Hatimzaki84 Hey, thanks bud. Yes, they are OEM M5 wheels but with M6 offset so the rears are closer flush to the fender. They cost about $3K. I agree, I like the M166 wheels better than the 172 style that comes? on the 550 sports.

If anything, the car feels much faster at top end speed. Less restriction on air flow, less back pressure. Its great. Also? the tone is much more refined now that the muffler is broken in.

It is a Magnaflow section? III exhaust with the resonator removed and a Y pipe in its place.

So do you have a X-pipe in there instead or did you just run straight pipe? Magnaflow muffler or entire? magnaflow replacement cat-back? I just got my 545i and the exhaust is one of the first projects.
