Thanks! The model is a work in progress and I still have a lot to do? to it. Many other obligations have prevented me from working on it as much as I'd like to but maybe this winter will allow more time for that.

Thanks for the update! The 5/16 may be easier to find. Are you sure its 18 and not 14 on the thread? This would make it a fine thread rather than? coarse?

I checked my local Ace Hardware,True Value Hardware,and Fastenall,with no luck. All they have is 7/16-14.The only other option I can think of would be for me to change the allthread diameter or the motor RPM to keep the timing the same as? if I used the 7/16-18 rod. I would rather just go with the same as what you used since I already have the 100 RPM motors,and the closest Home Depot is 100mil round trip so If you could hook me up,I could PayPal you for the cost of the rods and nuts.

For the testing in this video I used a 9v and? two 1.5 v AA batteries wired together. When I do the final electronics with the remote control I will be using a 12v pack of batteries with a 4500 mah rating.

I wanted to match the deployment rate from the movie so I used a motor and thread combination that would do this. My motors are the 100 RPM units and? the piece of threaded rod is 7/16-18. Thanks for the compliment and there is plenty more to come.

Thanks for the info. Found the site on eBay..large selection of motors to choose from. Curious about the rpm that you used..yours? actuates the gear at just the right rate. Looks as if you adapted a threaded rod to the motor shaft. Truly an impressive job! Looking forward to seeing more videos of your project.

Hi, thanks! The company I got the motors from is CampSolution on eBay. Once you find them look under "DC motors for hobby". They have a very good selection? of different size hobby motors and mostly under $15.

That's funny.....street legal. I'm in CA so pretty much anything that's not factory stock is not street legal. That said, I did have a friend that did my emission test for me (not legal for my setup) and I had? it on the street with plates for a couple of years. It handled any street conditions like a stocker, except for the horrible gas milage. So to answer your question, it's strickly a track car now.

I saw them. They were both great runs.... After doing my research on parts, i think? i'll come out better going on the internet and buying one ready to go........ saw one supercharged mustang running low 6's for 10,000 on the net. Saw another in illinois (nitrous car) running low tens on motor. It had 150 shot too......14,000. Guess i'll see how my money goes. Is your car street legal or a trailor queen?

Yes, I was foot braking on the early couple of runs. Here are a? couple of links when I was using the transbrake running 9.0 and 9.1. Tried to link and it won't let me but search in YouTube under 9's Notchback and also Notchback 9 sec pass.

Thanks for the info. What caught my attention? about your car was that if you listen closely it sounded like you footbraked it and still ran mid 9 sec pass. That easily equates to low 6's (1/8 mile) in my book. Good luck with your car......

It's an R302 331 cu in with ported TFS TW heads with a custom hydraulic roller cam. It's got a D-2R ProCharger running 26 lbs? of boost with 83 lb injectors and a F.A.S.T. engine control system. Currently running a Dynamic C4 M2 trans with 3.55 rear gears. Car weighs 3400 lbs with me in it.
