Another bug report, the cause of the flashing chunks is when it updates, while you're not in it. This redstone blinker causes chunk updates, so you can see flashing all around it.

Why would they put the physics into the game for them if? they don't have any puzzles that require them. I have an explanation how the moving portals thing can work. In Portal 2 they only move with the neurotoxin? because it's moving on a 2D plane. When you cut the neurotoxin tubes the portal is rising or moving across a flat plane. I dunno if that makes any sense but what I'm saying is that the portal is never moving closer to you and (in a way) having air pulled through it. Okay I know this makes no sense. See if ya can figure it out.

As I was? saying, the game engine detects if the surface is portable by determining it's color. The explanation it gives is conversion gel. (Also, I was on IRC when someone said they used concrete and wood as conductors before the discovery of conversion gel and they used conversion gel as a testing element. What also sucks is that when you move through portals, you get? spawned behind the exit-portal before flying out. If there's a dangerous entity on that side of the portal (such as toxic water etc) you get hurt/killed.

I didn't want to just leave the poor thing to get crushed.
There is an invisible wall stopping it from jumping towards you, and another stopping you pulling it through the portal, so you have to throw it. However, the rest of the platform is non-solid to it, so you can't throw it too far.

Source Recorder Bug [Portal]

ENABLE ANNOTATIONS!
For some reason, if you record a demo in Portal, the firstperson camera breaks and goes all jittery.
However, in thirdperson it works fine like in any other Source game.
Also, after making a watching the video I have noticed that when the camera went out of the map quickly the camera fixed for a while.
