TO ALL; if you live in southern Ut .. pretty much that is all you see is red rock .. though the real beauty in Utah is the northern part white winters and green canyons. Also don't believe all the harsh things about Mormons (I'm not? mormon) in general they are the best neighbors you could ask for, the type were if you need a cup of sugar for cookies. No problem they got your back.

Try finding a "chiminea" with open sides. Personally I would not feel safe with a completely open fire pit that close to trees, if they do not get burned it might kill them eventually. The benefit of a chiminea with open sides is that? it controls the fire by directing the heat directly upwards, instead of outwards like a regular fire pit.

I want to build one of these, but the only space i can is right between three tree trunks (they make a triangle around the open area). There's about a foot between the (soon to be) fire pit and each of the stumps... They're tall trees so? there's not branches that could catch fire, but i'm wondering if the tree trunks could catch on fire, and what would be a better design of the fire pit to ensure the trees dont catch on fire

I built one of these for my back yard this past summer. Make sure you check your local county ordinances and build to spec. If not, you running the risk of getting a visit from the fire marshall and quite possibly a fine. Oh, and have a? fire extinguisher handy too just in case a fire gets out of control or, someone sits too close and sparks up.

I've? been looking for an affordable garden water fountain for the birds, hummingbirds, and bees, and butterflies to sip on while browsing the flowers in my garden. I made one of these after watching this video. It's a neat water feature to have. Just a couple notes. You have to be extremely lucky to find a pot that will perfectly match the bowl diameter like was shown in the video. I couldn't, so I didn't use the bowl so my entire pot is filled with water, which I think looks nicer anyway. I used some bricks inside the pot to support the fountain nozzle. I think a 75 - 80 gallon/hr pump would be about right for this project. Fun? project!

Thank You so much!!! I have been trying to figure the whole background lighting thing out shooting outdoors with a flash since I always hate seeing blown out backgrounds. I watched your video a few times and practiced and FINALLY get it now. Didn"t know about the flash setting the plus and? minus which can add more or less light only through your flash to the subject while bringing your background exposure down. It's Sayen Garden in Hamilton Square. I live close to Princeton area so it's near by and I know? the place quite well so when I schedule multiple shoots, I do them here so I don't have to spend 40 minutes going to another location and back to another random spot. This saves me time which allows me to schedule 3, 4 shoots in a day to make good money while having fun at the same time. After our shoots, my wife and I go out to eat to relax. It's always fun.

You? have to follow some composition rules as well. If I zoom in, I'd lose the dreamy water on the sides and that defeats the whole purpose of dragging the shutter speed to create the effect. It's not just a portrait, it's telling a whole story.
