The Hungerford massacre occurred in Hungerford, Berkshire, England, on August 19, 1987. A 27-year-old unemployed local labourer, Michael Robert Ryan, armed with two semi-automatic rifles and a handgun, shot and killed sixteen people including his mother, and wounded fifteen others, then fatally shot himself.

Well you can still get AK's aslong as they are straight? pull. Saiga semi auto shotguns are legal, 22 semis are legal, theres a cool device you can fit to 9mm carbine ar15 style rifles that effectively makes them almost semi's, you can own 50BMGs, and all the bolt actions you want. Done to appease the do-gooders & those who didn't like them .1987 was a General Election year & Thatcher got? voted in again.The gun bans occurred for a multitude of reasons,some more obvious than others.The UK gun lobby at the time,was run by old-fashioned,dinosaurs,whom didn't like semi-automatic centrefire rifles & did not recognise them as 'sporting rifles',yet still shot .303 Enfields.Same attitude after Dunblane.This didn't help the shooters out at all & sealed their fate of us.

One suggestion I have is perhaps to introduce a longsword dual/fight? There is plenty of documentation, esp starting with liectenaur and you can mix in some talhoffer exotic moves to please the audience.? Most of liectenaur is a close distance (krieg distance) and lots in the bind.

Hi, i am one of the fighters, in white on the right hand side. Tbh the first guy i fight has been away for 3 years and wasn't up to scratch (it was the first show back). I have been fighting for 11years in re-enactment and 7 of that in full plate (and the fencing i did at school lol), I? have looked at a lot of fighting manuals and most are later than the period that we do but from what i know most of the hits would have been to the head (unsafe in many peoples eyes).

I suggest some historical research might assist in your training. Your posts are really informative. I have never heard of this case and quite a few others you have. Being this is the day before Thanksgiving? these documentaries brings to mind the many things to be grateful for, regardless of whether you are ill, homeless, rich or poor. Even though I realize it everyday but life is so delicate and fleeting and can be taken away so unexpectedly. All those people and so many many more murdered and not allowed to live their full lives, it is just sad.
